London Youth Games 2025

Young Tower Hamlets joins in on the London Youth Games for the FIRST TIME EVER!🤩

14 young people from Tower Hamlets took on the London Youth Games this June. After 6 weeks of intense cycling training, our young people we're finally ready and scored 14th out of 20 teams.

Kitcat Terrace reopens with a new look!

This May, Young Tower Hamlets celebrated the new Kitcat Terrace. Joined by care leavers, partners at UCL, support workers and councillors we stepped into the new and improved Kitcat.

Duke of Edinburgh open access expeditions are back! 💥

After a long pause, adventure ⛰️ is back on the map!

Urban Adventure Base proudly led its first open-access Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition since the Covid-19 pandemic, and what an incredible journey it's been.

We are excited to announce that we are now running the Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) at our youth centre, Urban Adventure Base!

It is usually costs £28 to sign up for DofE, however, we are offering FREE sign ups via Urban Adventure Base.

Young Mayor of Tower Hamlets

The Young Mayor and deputies are the voice of young people in the borough, and they work closely with other local young people and services to understand their issues and raise concerns by:

  • representing young people locally and nationally
  • getting involved in the Tower Hamlets Youth Council and other local youth forums
  • attending events and organising special projects and
  • influencing and steering strategic decisions that affect young people in the borough
